Water Advisory Status: In Effect
RM of Stanley Water Restriction Update
June 17, 2021
- The water restrictions in place for the RM of Stanley have now been downgraded to a voluntary water reduction.
- We ask the public to:
- Utilize non-potable water where possible for gardening and landscape watering.
- Pools – Please fill at ½ flow and between hours of 9pm-6am.
- Outdoor water uses – Odd house numbers/addresses use outside water on odd days, even house numbers/addresses use water on even days.
- Systems have stabilized due to the efforts of the community.
- We continue to promote the use of alternate water sources such as private wells or municipal bulk wells for uses that do not require treated water – see map of wells here.
- The Province of MB has launched a funding program to assist in the development of water sources for livestock. Contact The Pembina Valley Watershed District for info.
- The RM is actively working with the region on both short term and long-term solutions to manage the surge in demands and increase supply to avoid this issue in the future.
