Parks & Recreation - Stanley Park

Stanley Park is one of the municipality's main attractions and welcomes thousands of visitors from across the province each year. There are numerous large events held at the park each year such as the Thousand Oaks Gospel, Rendevous Festival and many more.

History
In July of 1965, Council for the RM of Stanley passed a by-law approving the purchase of land in Pt of 22-2-6 WPM for a Centennial Park at a price of $6,000.00. Since that time, the park has seen many major improvements and is an attractive spot for many to come and enjoy Stanley's own backyard.

Do I need to make reservations?
The park is open to the public however if you wish to use a picnic shelter you will need to contact the RM office (204-325-4101) to make a reservation for a picnic shelter.
 
Do I need a key for the park shelters?
Yes, each park shelter is locked. When a reservation is made the key may be picked up from the municipal administration office. A $25 cash deposit is required for park shelter keys. 
 
What services are available in the park?
The park has 5 picnic shelters, all of which have picnic tables and hydro.  Two of the shelters have a fridge and freezer for the use of guests.
 
There are four washroom facilities available in the park, one of which has running water.

Is there a fee for using the park?
The park is open for public use at no charge. Donations for the maintenance and improvement of the park are accepted at the municipal office. 
 
Is Camping allowed at the park?
Non-serviced camping is allowed in the park, contact the park attendant for details/information.
